12 Day Best of Uganda Safari Adventure
A diverse 12-day safari exploring Uganda’s most iconic national parks, combining scenic landscapes, rich wildlife, cultural encounters, boat cruises, and primate experiences, ending with unforgettable gorilla trekking in Bwindi and a scenic transfer to Kigali.

Early morning departure from Kampala heading north towards Kidepo Valley National Park. En route, stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking on foot, the only place in Uganda where rhinos can be seen in the wild. Lunch stop along the way, then continue the scenic drive through northern Uganda to Kidepo Valley National Park.

Early morning game drive in Kidepo Valley National Park, renowned for its vast savannahs and rich wildlife including lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, and various antelope species. Return to the lodge for rest and lunch. In the late afternoon, head out for an evening game drive as wildlife becomes active again.

After breakfast, visit a Karimojong manyatta to learn about the traditional lifestyle, culture, and customs of this unique pastoral community. Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the evening, enjoy another game drive within the park.

Morning guided nature walk around the park area, offering opportunities to observe smaller wildlife, birdlife, and the dramatic landscapes of Kidepo. Spend the afternoon at leisure before heading out for an evening game drive.

After breakfast, begin the long but scenic drive from Kidepo Valley National Park to Murchison Falls National Park. Enjoy views of rural Uganda along the way with lunch en route. Arrive in the park in the evening and check in to your lodge.

Early morning game drive on the northern bank of the Nile, searching for lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, and buffaloes. Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, take a boat cruise on the Nile towards the base of Murchison Falls, with excellent chances to see hippos, crocodiles, and abundant birdlife.

Enjoy another early morning game drive to explore different sectors of the park. After lunch, visit the Top of the Falls, where the Nile forces its way through a narrow gorge, creating a powerful and spectacular sight.

After breakfast, depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park, driving through changing landscapes and rural towns. Lunch en route. Arrive in Queen Elizabeth National Park in the late afternoon and check in to your lodge.

Early morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, known for large herds of Uganda kob, lions, elephants, and buffaloes. After lunch, enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, famous for its high concentration of hippos, crocodiles, and water birds.

After breakfast, drive southwest to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, passing through scenic countryside and tea plantations. Lunch en route. Arrive in Bwindi in the afternoon and prepare for the next day’s gorilla trekking.

Early breakfast followed by a briefing at the park headquarters before heading into the forest for gorilla trekking. Spend time observing a habituated gorilla family in their natural habitat. In the afternoon, enjoy a Batwa cultural experience, learning about the traditional forest-dwelling community.
