Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park from Kampala

Start your journey from Kampala, the capital city of Uganda, to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The park is located approximately 400 kilometers away from Kampala, so the transfer will take a few hours. Once you arrive at the park, check into your accommodation and relax for the evening.

Day 2: Game Drive and Boat Cruise

Begin your day with an early morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park. The park is known for its diverse wildlife, including elephants, lions, buffalos, antelopes, and various bird species. Explore the park’s different ecosystems, such as savannah, wetlands, and the beautiful crater lakes. After the game drive, enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. This channel connects Lake Edward and Lake George and is home to a large concentration of hippos, crocodiles, and abundant birdlife. The boat cruise provides an excellent opportunity for wildlife viewing and birdwatching. You can capture some stunning photographs during this experience.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kyambura Gorge and Afternoon Game Drive

Head to Kyambura Gorge, also known as the “Valley of Apes,” for an exciting chimpanzee trekking experience.

Join a guided trekking group and venture into the gorge, searching for chimpanzees in their natural habitat. Kyambura Gorge is renowned for its population of habituated chimpanzees, allowing you to observe them up close. After the chimpanzee trek, enjoy an afternoon game drive in another area of Queen Elizabeth National Park. This will give you a chance to spot additional wildlife that you may have missed during the previous game drive.

Day 4: Transfer back to Kampala
