A 6-day itinerary that includes both Kibale National Park and Masai Mara would offer you a diverse wildlife and nature experience.

Day 1: Arrival in Uganda and Transfer to Kibale National Park

You will meet our guide and transfer to Kibale National Park, which approximately takes 5-6 hours’ drive from the Entebbe. Enjoy the scenic drive through rural Uganda, passing through villages and beautiful landscapes.

Arrive at your accommodation near Kibale National Park and check-in. Rest and relax for the remainder of the day.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale National Park

After an early breakfast, head to Kibale National Park, which is known for its population of habituated chimpanzees. Meet with park rangers and attend a briefing about chimpanzee trekking guidelines.

Embark on a guided trek through the park’s dense forests, led by experienced trackers. Enjoy the sights and sounds of the forest as you search for chimpanzee groups. Once you locate a group, spend a memorable hours observing and learning about these fascinating primates. After the trek, you can have lunch and rest. In the afternoon, you have the option to visit the nearby Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, which is known for its diverse birdlife and primate species. Return to your accommodation and enjoy a relaxing evening.

Day 3: Travel from Kibale National Park to Masai Mara

After breakfast, bid farewell to Kibale National Park and transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your flight to Nairobi, Kenya. Upon arrival in Nairobi, you will be met by our guide and driven to Masai Mara National Reserve. Enjoy the scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley and the picturesque landscapes of Kenya. Arrive at your lodge or camp in Masai Mara and check-in. Rest and relax for the evening, enjoying the tranquility of the African wilderness.

Day 4-5: Safari Experience in Masai Mara

Rise early to make the most of your two full days in Masai Mara. After breakfast, embark on thrilling game drives in Masai Mara National Reserve. Explore the vast savannah plains, rivers, and acacia woodlands, which are teeming with wildlife. Our knowledgeable guide will help you spot various animals and share interesting information about their behavior and habitat. Keep an eye out for the Big Five (elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, and rhinoceros), as well as cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and many other species. If you’re visiting during the Great Migration season (typically July to October), you may witness the dramatic river crossings as millions of wildebeest and other herbivores navigate the Mara River. Take breaks during the day to enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness. Return to your accommodation in the evenings and relax while sharing stories of your wildlife sightings around a campfire or at the lodge.

Day 6: Departure

After breakfast, check out from your lodge or camp in Masai Mara. Transfer back to Nairobi, where you can catch your onward flight or extend your stay to explore more of Kenya’s attractions. If time permits, you can visit some of Nairobi’s highlights, such as the Giraffe Centre or the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, which is known for its orphaned elephant and rhino rehabilitation programs.
