8-Days Great Tanzania Safari

An 8-day safari trip to the Serengeti, Tarangire, and Ngorongoro National Parks is a fantastic way to experience the stunning wildlife and landscapes of Tanzania.

Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Serengeti

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport. Meet our tour operator or guide. Drive to the Serengeti National Park, either through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area or another route, depending on your preferences and the wildlife movements. Enjoy a game drive in the Serengeti en route to your accommodation. Overnight in a lodge or camp in the Serengeti.

Day 2-4: Serengeti National Park

Spend three full days exploring the Serengeti, one of the most famous wildlife reserves in the world. Morning and afternoon game drives to witness the Great Migration, which typically occurs between June and October.

Explore various parts of the Serengeti, like the Central Serengeti, Western Corridor, and Northern Serengeti, depending on the time of year. Overnight in the same lodge or camp in the Serengeti.

Day 5: Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After a morning game drive in the Serengeti, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Visit the Olduvai Gorge Museum on the way, a significant archaeological site. Reach your lodge or camp on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater. Overnight on the crater rim.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Enjoy a full-day game drive in the crater, known for its high concentration of wildlife. Witness the “Big Five” (lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, and rhinoceros) and various other species. Return to your accommodation on the crater rim for an overnight stay.

Day 7: Tarangire National Park

Day 8: Tarangire and Departure

Spend the morning on a game drive in Tarangire, if time allows. Afterward, head back to Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for a cultural visit or a visit to the nearby Maasai village. Departure for your onward journey or international flight.
