5-day itinerary for gorilla trekking in Rwanda, a cultural tour in Burundi, and a visit to Ruzizi National Park would offer a diverse and exciting experience.

Day 1: Arrival in Rwanda and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Arrive at Kigali International Airport in Rwanda. Meet our guide and transfer to Volcanoes National Park, which is known for its population of mountain gorillas. On arrival, you will check-in at your lodge and spend the rest of the day at leisure, acclimatizing to the altitude.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

Wake up early and have breakfast at your lodge. Head to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking rules and regulations. Embark on a thrilling gorilla trekking expedition, guided by experienced trackers and rangers. Spend approximately 1 hour observing and photographing a gorilla family in their natural habitat. After the trek, return to your lodge and relax for the evening.

Day 3: Transfer to Burundi and Cultural Tour

After breakfast, depart for the border crossing between Rwanda and Burundi. Complete immigration formalities and continue your journey to Bujumbura, the capital city of Burundi. Check-in at your hotel and have lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a cultural tour of Bujumbura, visiting landmarks such as the Independence Heroes Monument, the Central Market, and the Livingstone-Stanley Monument. Explore the local culture, interact with the friendly people, and learn about Burundi’s history.

Day 4: Ruzizi National Park

After breakfast, depart for Ruzizi National Park, located along the shores of Lake Tanganyika. Enjoy a boat ride on the lake, offering scenic views and opportunities for wildlife spotting. Explore the national park, which is home to diverse ecosystems, including wetlands, savannahs, and forests. Look out for wildlife such as hippos, crocodiles, antelopes, and a variety of bird species. Return to Bujumbura in the late afternoon and spend the evening at leisure.

Day 5: Departure
