This 8-day Uganda safari takes you through some of the country’s most beautiful and wildlife-rich national parks. The journey begins with rhino tracking at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, followed by game drives and a boat cruise at Murchison Falls — Uganda’s largest park. You’ll continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park for more wildlife encounters and a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, then trek chimpanzees in Kyambura Gorge and mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The adventure ends with a relaxing stay at the scenic Lake Bunyonyi before returning to Kampala or Entebbe.

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

After breakfast, drive northwards to Murchison Falls National Park. En route, stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for an exciting rhino tracking experience. Continue to Murchison Falls and visit the top of the falls, where the Nile River squeezes through a narrow gorge creating a spectacular waterfall. Later, proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Game Drive and Boat Cruise on the Nile

After an early breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive on the northern bank of the Nile where you may spot elephants, giraffes, lions, leopards, buffaloes, and various antelope species. In the afternoon, take a boat cruise to the base of the falls, offering a great chance to see hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of water birds.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Depart Murchison Falls after breakfast and drive south through beautiful landscapes and traditional villages. Arrive at Queen Elizabeth National Park in the evening and check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Game Drive and Boat Cruise on the Kazinga Channel

Start the day with a morning game drive in Kasenyi Plains in search of lions, elephants, buffaloes, and Uganda kobs. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, famous for its high concentration of hippos, crocodiles, and birdlife.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking at Kyambura Gorge and Transfer to Bwindi

After breakfast, head for an exciting chimpanzee trekking adventure in Kyambura Gorge. Later, drive through scenic countryside and rolling hills to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas.

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Cultural Experience

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before your gorilla trekking experience. Spend an unforgettable hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat. In the afternoon, visit the Batwa community for a rich cultural experience.

Day 7: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for Relaxation

Day 8: Transfer Back to Kampala (or Entebbe)

After breakfast, start your return journey to Kampala or Entebbe with a stopover at the Equator for photos and souvenirs. Drop off at your preferred location, marking the end of your memorable Uganda safari.
