6-Days Murchison Falls and Queen Elizabeth National Park
A 6-day itinerary that includes both Murchison Falls National Park and Queen Elizabeth National Park is a great choice for exploring the wildlife and natural beauty of Uganda.
Arrive at Entebbe International Airport. You will be met by our guide/driver who will transfer you to Murchison Falls National Park. The journey from Entebbe to Murchison Falls takes around 5-6 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions. We will visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, a protected area where you can track and observe white rhinos on foot. After the rhino tracking experience, have lunch at the sanctuary and continue the journey to Murchison Falls National Park. On our arrival, you will check-in at accommodation in Murchison Falls National Park and relax for the evening.

Start your day early with a game drive in the northern sector of the park. This is an excellent opportunity to spot wildlife such as elephants, giraffes, lions, buffaloes, and various antelope species. Return to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation. In the afternoon, take a boat safari on the Nile River to the base of Murchison Falls. This boat trip offers a chance to see hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species. Enjoy the breathtaking views of the falls before returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast in the morning, check out from the lodge and to the park for hiking to the top of Murchison Falls. It’s a moderately challenging hike that rewards you with panoramic views of the falls, and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive from Murchison Falls to the Queen Elizabeth National Park takes approximately 6-7 hours. Arrive in Queen Elizabeth and check-in at your accommodation, and relax for the evening.

In the morning, embark on a game drive in the Ishasha sector, known for its population of tree-climbing lions. Keep an eye out for these unique predators lounging on the branches of fig trees. After the game drive, return to your lodge in the evening.

Start your day with an early morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park. This area is known for its diverse wildlife, including elephants, lions, buffaloes, hyenas, and various antelope species. It’s also a great opportunity for bird watching. Return to your lodge for lunch and some relaxation. In the afternoon, take a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel. This boat trip offers excellent wildlife viewing as animals gather along the shores to drink water. Expect to see hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and numerous bird species. After the boat safari, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, check out from your lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Embark on the journey from Queen Elizabeth National Park to Entebbe. The drive from Queen Elizabeth National Park to Entebbe takes approximately 5-6 hours. Arrive in Entebbe in the afternoon. Our guide/driver will drop you off at Entebbe International Airport for your departure.
