4 Days Chimpanzee Tracking in Rwanda and Wildlife Safari

Day 1: Kigali to Nyungwe National Park

Depart from Kigali early in the morning (around 6-7 AM) and drive to Nyungwe National Park. The journey will take approximately 6-8 hours by car. Check into your accommodation near Nyungwe National Park. Spend the evening relaxing at your lodge or exploring the nearby surroundings.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking in Nyungwe National Park

Wake up early and have breakfast at your accommodation. Head to the Nyungwe National Park visitor center for a briefing before your chimpanzee trek and Go on a guided chimpanzee trek in the park, which can take several hours depending on the location of the chimps. After the trek, you can explore other activities in Nyungwe National Park, such as canopy walks or birdwatching. Spend another night at your accommodation near Nyungwe.

Day 3: Nyungwe to Akagera National Park

After breakfast, check out of your accommodation and drive from Nyungwe to Akagera National Park, which can take around 6-8 hours. Check into your accommodation near Akagera National Park. If you arrive in the afternoon, you can enjoy a game drive in Akagera to start your wildlife viewing experience.

Day 4: Akagera National Park and Return to Kigali

Wake up early for a full-day game drive in Akagera National Park, where you can spot a variety of wildlife, including elephants, hippos, giraffes, and more. Take a break for lunch at one of the park’s lodges and continue your game drive in the afternoon, exploring different parts of Akagera. After the game drive, start your journey back to Kigali. The drive will take several hours. Arrive in Kigali in the evening, marking the end of your 4-day adventure.
